All the Masalaa of joint-family living...

A fictional story related as a leaked online diary in the voice of a contemporary, young, South African Guji wife...

About the Author: Ree

Rehana (Ree) is a Bachelor of Education graduate and Freelance writer.

She first fell in love with words in Grade Six when she read the 'Baby Sitters Club ' series for school.

Her creative writing skills flourished as she consumed book after book and soon she was winning school prizes, penning debates and writing and presenting speeches'.

Her writing skills gave her a spot on her High School newspaper but as her favorite teacher once said, 'her atrocious spelling drove the teachers working with her, to despair'.

Despite her handicapped English, Ree has went on to freelance as a writer, MC functions and Radio presenting.

Her creative writing and academic essays earned her many Deans Commendations' in University. (yah she used spell check and very intelligent friends to triple check her work)

While 'The Real Diary of a Guji Wife' is her first attempt at fiction on a large scale, Ree's interest in the social interactions of culture and religion within the South African community, is nothing new.

Ree has been published in Islam Today, Islam Alive, The Life, Style&Fashion Magazine, Indians in Africa and Centenary Cronical.

She is the voice behind the 'eat out reviewer' blog on WordPress, a blog she ate her way through and then lost the plot.

She dreams of writing and publishing a series of Islamic adventure stories for little children, someday.
